Registration:
Login: Use your credentials to log in to the ISBN portal.
Application Form: Fill out the online application form with accurate details about the publisher (whether individual, organization, or institution) and the book(s).
Submission: Submit the application form along with the required documents.
Verification:
The National Agency will review the application and the submitted documents.
If any additional information is required, the agency will contact the applicant.
Approval and Issuance:
Once the application is approved, the ISBN(s) will be issued and can be downloaded from the portal.
Documents Required:
For Individuals:
Identity proof (Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, etc.).
Address proof (Aadhaar card, utility bill, etc.).
A copy of the book’s manuscript (not always required at the application stage but may be requested).
For Organizations/Institutions:
Registration certificate of the organization.
Address proof of the organization.
Details of the authorized person applying on behalf of the organization.
A list of books for which ISBNs are being requested, along with their titles and authors.
